"THANKSGIVING IN FLORIDA" zine

THANKSGIVING IN FLORIDA (TGIF) is a zine, my second zine.


following the release of MOON i switched gears. my art--my writing--no longer served the purpose to relay emotion succinctly. writing became less of a chore with this zine. i wanted to explore emotion with this piece. no longer would i lay out feelings i thought i already knew, thought i already experienced. this zine is exploratory. i say is because i am still exploring. still coming to grips with my trauma, still learning forgiveness, still learning how to define and compartmentalize my emotions.


this zine was a long time coming. i have been searching for years to find a way to cathartically release my feelings regarding trauma associated with abuse and it finally culminated in a way i felt appropriate. THANKSGIVING IN FLORIDA is a zine about escapism in all its forms as a way to cope with abuse from my own experiences.
